Designing a Solar Cooker

For our second modeling project, We were tasked to use thermokinetic or thermodynamic models to optimize the design of a solar cooker for a specific purpose.  My partner, Kaitlyn Keil, and I chose, to optimize a solar cooker to cook the most naan in the shortest amount of time (we both really love bread).  

 We designed an insulated paraboloid optimized to reflect light and heat into a copper cylinder suspended in the center, which would absorb the energy and use it to cook naan. We optimized the cylinder for most energy absorbed and most pieces of naan cooked in a single use.
