Carrieres d’Arvel is looking to expand its construction and aggregates business into an underground mine, a project that is made uniquely economical due to incentives for new BEV and underground mining projects in Switzerland as of 2021.
This simulation and design project was undertaken in order to determine the optimal LHD and truck pairing, profiles, and fleet size, and to inform changes to the design of the mine to optimally leverage the advantages of BEV equipment.
