The Karowe Diamond mine in Botswana is evaluating the use case for semi-autonomous and teleremotely operated LHDs for their underground expansion and required a trade study and technical spec of required wifi and network infrastructure to support the technology. The purpose of this study was to establish the minimum requirements of the infrastructure and guide selection of potential suppliers and installers.
